Torch Colorado Springs Hosts 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Our Torch office in Colorado Springs hosted its 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament in Colorado Springs in July, supporting Safe Passage. Each year Safe Passage serves more than 1000 children and non-offending caregivers during abuse investigations. 

A majority of the children they serve have suffered sexual abuse. Safe Passage is the authoritative regional resource for child sexual assault services, and works with medical, counseling and law enforcement services and agencies to resolve abuse.

Torch raised over $25,000 this year, a more than a 50% increase over last year.These funds will provide 100+ hours of therapy, medical treatment, home supplies, clothing and much more to children affected by abuse in the Colorado Springs and surrounding area.

The tournament was held at the Bear Dance Golf Course, in nearby Larkspur, Colorado. We sold out the event and 124 players participated.Torch recruited a number of DoD and local community sponsors, including Edward Jones, ERC, HTS, MTSI, CSPD, Colorado College, Blattner Law Firm, Gasper Law Group, Synergy One Lending.

Colorado Springs has already begun planning next July’s tournament at Bear Dance!
